Coach Mallon has been a collegiate Division I coach at two of the nation's finest institutions.  He coached at Yale with Steve Griggs (1989-1992) during the best four year period in school history reaching the NCAA sweet sixteen and NCAA final eight in '89 & '91 respectively before being named Men's Head Soccer Coach at the University of California - Berkeley   Mark Mallon (bio)
 
His Cal team consistently ranked among the nation's elite within three years at the healm when the team achieved a school record #2 NCAA Division I national ranking in October of 1996. 

He holds the USSF A license, NSCAA Premier Diploma, English FA Badge, Scottish FA Badge and has served on the Olympic Development Program staff for the US.

His teams have won the ODP Regional Championship, State Championships in Connecticut, State Finalist in California, league championships in NJ, CT, and CA ...so Ohio is next on the agenda as TSi Premier FC establishes it's stable of teams to compete in North East Ohio and Region II.  

Coach Mallon has also identified, trained, and coached many high school and collegiate all-America players, several US Youth National Team players and MLS players.    Mark received all-America honors in college and was tagged to play in the NASL professional league for Houston under Gary Hindley until the league folded shortly after his graduation.

Mark's formal education was completed at West Chester University in the renown Health & Physical Education program where he received his K - 12 teaching degree to further qualify him as a professional teacher, coach and trainer. 

The TSi Premier FC teams will play to win championships, gain local, regional, and national recognition for our players in league and tournaments while playing an attractive style of skill based possession soccer that develops players technical ability and tactical insight, while demonstrating a high degree of sportsmanlike behavior.

TSi Premier Soccer Club Program:

TSi is a comprehensive youth soccer club and year round Developmental Training Academy located in scenic Geauga County,  Ohio serving the youth soccer players in the NE Ohio region.   

We provide year round training and competitive playing opportunities for dedicated players including Fall and Spring competition, Winter Indoor training and competition, and summer camps and tournaments.  

We have year round training programs open to players U6 - U18. 

TSi Premier FC is a young club established in 2008. The TSi Premier FC is currently offering teams at certain age groups (U9/10 Boys and U10-U12 Girls) for Spring 2009 to focus our energy on developing quality teams.  


The TSi Premier FC U9 Boys team recently won the U10 Indoor Championship and will be participating in the OYSAN State Premier Academy League in Spring 2009 as an age pure U9 team.  
                                                     

The TSi Premier - Lightning girls U11 team will play in the OYSAN State Premier League in Spring 2009 and participate in tournaments. 

TSi Premier FC soccer club will be adding additional age group teams for Fall 2009 !

Premier Team games are typically on Saturdays.  We strongly encourage TSi Premier FC club members to continue playing travel soccer in their community games on Sundays.

TSi Developmental Training Academy is another program option designed to offer skill training and development opportunities for players with an interest in premier soccer but not necessarily a full commitment or ability to play at that level this year. 

TSi Developmental Training Academy programs:

TSi Tots (Ages 5-6) a FUN introduction to soccer and skills.
TSi Junior Academy (Ages 7-9) builds a good foundation of skill for future travel level play.
TSi Academy (Ages 10-16) provides a year round training program meeting once per week. 

TSi training and development programs are in concert with and supported by local soccer clubs and we support their programs by strongly encouraging our TSi Premier FC players to continue playing with their community travel team while participating in our club and training programs for advanced level competition and developmental training.   

THE SOCCER INSTITUTE PROGRAMS ARE SUPPORTED BY LOCAL CLUBS:

West Geauga Soccer Club -  (TSi trains the travel teams, players, and coaches for WGSC).
Berkshire Soccer Club - (TSi trains players in winter skills programs and camps)
Chagrin Soccer Club -   (TSi coaches/trains, and administers an age group tryout for girls)
Berkhsire HS Teams -   (TSi provides summer pre-season camps for Berkshire HS) 
West Geauga HS  -   (TSi provides summer pre-season camps for West Geauga HS)

TSi players come from many towns including Burton, Chagrin Falls, Chardon, Chesterland, Concord, Madison, Mentor, Newbury, Perry, Willoughby, and includes international high school students from Andrews Osborne Academy.

TRAINING AND COMPETITION SITES:

THE SOCCER INSTITUTE - INDOOR AND OUTDOOR FIELD COMPLEX (Huntsburg, OH)
  (Located 1.5 miles from Mayfield Rd (322) and Madison Rd (528) in Geauga County.)  
 
TSi Premier FC is one of the only clubs in the NE Ohio area to have their own club facility available 24-7 for dedicated club use with an indoor and outdoor field complex. 

TSi Premier FC is the only club with residential facilities for Pre-Season training camps and tournaments.   We will be adding local, regional, national, and international tournaments as well as hosting clubs to provide our players with a unique global perspective and exposure to European, South American, and other foreign teams.   

THE ANDREWS OSBORNE ACADEMY (Willoughby, Ohio)   www.andrewsosborne.org
 (Located at 38588 Mentor Ave (rte 20) 4 miles from Routes  (90) and (306) Chillicothe Rd.)  

The K-12 private independent school students participate in TSi Premier FC programs for  winter and spring seasons in addition to playing an independent fall high school season.  
AOA provides a beautiful 300 acre campus with new fields and indoor training facilities.

General Schedule:
The TSi Premier teams train and compete in traditional Fall and Spring league seasons, Winter Indoor, and summer training camp/tournaments.

Spring:  Begins in April and ends in mid June.  Fall starts in August.

Practices and training: 
FALL/SPRING: training is generally twice a week. 
One is a team training and one is skills training.
 
TSi TOURNAMENT-CAMP WEEKEND - Four teams per weekend reside at TSi for the tournament and camp activities that promote development, sportsmanship, and friendship.  Each team plays 4 full-time regulation games (not limited time games like other tournaments). This provides preparation for the actual season games.  We limit games to two per day (one in the morning and one in the evening).   We also provide skills training in the camp, do match analysis and reviews after each game to benefit the players and coaches of each team at the tournament.  Leisure activities include swimming, horseback riding, soccer tennis, soccer volleyball, kick-wall ball, indoor games, movies, and an evening bonfire.   Players live the life of a professional youth soccer player in Europe.
